The city wakes up to a fine day Still tired from last night's hangover The city is out on its way Not knowing the problems it has to encounter. Newspapers arrive screaming the usual tragedies Theft, rape, kidnap,accidents, murder And people dying due to terrible maladies This desperation must not go any further But the city can't sympathise For it's bereft of feelings and emotions It's had enough with all the hues and cries Yet the day has started with all its commotions As usual, the city prays To have, for once, a better day But deep down it has known always The perfect day was never on the bay It's a long wait for the city Before it can finally catch its prize The glitters of the night and the eccentricity Await the city till it comes to life The sleepy morning becomes the boring afternoon Which turns into the promising evening The city looks forward to the boon As life in the city marks its beginning Now the sun has left the sky T...
